
Belgium, officially the Kingdom of Belgium is a country in Northwestern Europe. The country is bordered by the Netherlands to the north, Germany to the east, Luxembourg to the southeast, France to the south, and the North Sea to the west. 1. National passport with validity of at least 3 months after the end of the planned journey
2. Completed and signed application form with 1 recent color photograph (5x3cm) with white background glued on the application form.
3. Copy of the identity page of your passport and copy of the most recent Schengen visa with stamps

5. Copy of Hotel reservation for the total duration of the stay in Belgium and in other countries in Schengen
6. - Letter of employer, stating your income and your vacation days allowed or - Copy of inscription in the commerce register or as a partner in a company or - Certificate from school stating your vacation days allowed (in case student) Proof of sufficient personal financial means like : copy of updated passbook / recent 3 month bank statement/income tax papers/salary slips etc.
7. In case of a minor who has not reached the age of 18 years AND is travelling with one of the parents only or alone: a notary affidavit mentioning the consent of the parents must be submitted. This document needs to be apostilled.
8. Copy of travel insurance valid in Belgium (and other Schengen countries), coverage minimum 30.000 Euro or equivalent amount in Rupees.
9. Copy of flight ticket reservation Attention ! Guarantees for return (assessment of migration risk): the applicant is requested to provide as much information as possible to document his/her family background, professional and socio-economic status, ownership of land or real estate (for instance : proof of family bonds with his/her country of origin, proof of regular income and stable source of revenues from the applicant and/or his/her partner, proof of property, etc.) This information is essential to correctly judge the intention of the applicant to leave the Schengen area before the expiry of his/her visa.
• My passport is about to expire. Can the visa still be issued?
No. Your passport must be valid for minimum of 6 months provided the passport is valid for at least 3 months from the date of departure from the Schengen Area.
• My passport has run out of blank visa pages but I still have empty pages for endorsements etc. Can I apply for a visa?
No. You need at least 2 blank back to back visa-pages in your passport when applying for a visa. The visa sticker can’t be placed on pages not specifically reserved for visas.
• Where can I submit my application?
Applications can be submitted at nearest VFS Global office with prior appointment
• Am I required to submit my application in person at VFS Global office?
Yes, all applicants (including minors) are required to submit their applications in person.
As a general rule,a decision will be taken by the Embassy/Consulate within 15 working days from the submission of the visa application. However, this deadline may be extended up to 30 Calendar days and even, exceptionally, 60 Calendar days, if a more detailed examination of your application and/or additional documents are required. In that case, your application will be sent to the Aliens Office in Belgium, which will take the final decision. The Embassy / Consulate General of Belgium will inform you in each instance in writing, by telephone or orally about the decision that is finally taken concerning your visa application.
